International Conference and Exhibition on “Agenda 2030 – Hellenic Armed Forces Digital Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence War” Concludes Successfully in Athens

Athens, Greece — 21 November 2024 – The International Conference  on “Agenda 2030 – Hellenic Armed Forces Digital Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence War” concluded successfully at the War Museum in Athens. Held from 19 to 20 November 2024, the event brought together defense leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and high-ranking officials from over 20 countries to discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in defense.

The conference commenced with an address from the representative of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Major  General Georgios Panousis, who emphasized Greece’s dedication to strengthening national defense through cutting-edge technology aligned with "Agenda 2030." This was followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Panagiotis Hatzipavlis, Col AF (Ret.) Defence Director Directorate of General Procurements & Defence Capabilities’ Development,  representing the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus.

 

Over the two-day event, attendees participated in keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focused on advancements in artificial intelligence, C4ISR, unmanned systems, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies reshaping modern warfare. Thought leaders explored pivotal questions about the ethical, operational, and strategic dimensions of AI and automation in defense, while also discussing the role of digital transformation in ensuring the readiness and resilience of armed forces worldwide.

 

The conference featured a distinguished lineup of exhibitors, including global defense industry leaders and supporters:

In closing remarks, organizers emphasized the importance of international cooperation and continuous innovation to address the increasingly complex threats of the modern world. With significant interest and engagement from both the public and private sectors, the event set a new standard for dialogue and cooperation in defense.
